| I managed a trip up to Glasgow at the beginning of April to catch up with some of the fleet, succesful day was had including getting Interurban 52359 now back in swoops working a 900 to Edinburgh.
April also saw some fairly major service revisions in both Kilmarnock and Cumnock (detailed later). In Kilmarnock service 21 was reinstated between Irvine and Kilmarnock that now works alongside a revised service 10, bringing guaranteed low floor buses to the 10 for the first time ever. Service 20 to Bonnyton was withdrawn and replaced with an enhanced 21/2A. The three local services 101/2/3 had their timetable altered and now comes of service during schooltimes. Hospital Link branded Solos 47506/7 both received further route branding in the form of an allover rear ad. The Scottish Grand National was held at Ayr and as a result Western were out in full force providing shuttles to the Racecourse using a large amount of vehicles all from Ayr with the exception of Olympian 14462 which was borrowed from Kilmarnock. A further 12 new MAN/Enviro 300's entered service, this time at Cumnock. All received branding in the form of "Connect Cumnock" to coincide with major service revisions in the area including a new route 48 between Ayr and Cumnock. They allowed several Ps's to transfer south, some to North West and the rest to help improve the recently acquired Stagecoach fleets of Huntingdon and Cavalier. Western started to repaint the Kilmarnock Darts for the first time and each will eventually gain LED screens to replace their current Hanover ones. 34597 was the first to be done with 6 then 8 the next to be done. |

The only reason its allocated to Glasgow is to provide a relief vehicle for the Croy Station services which use new 57 reg Optare Solo's.
